Bret S. Blackhart, M.D.
Dr. Blackhart began practicing General Dermatology in 1991 with the Kaiser Permanente System at the Fairfield Clinic in California. He moved to the Reno/Carson City area in 1996 and partnered with Dr. Rowe and Dr. Kiene to form Skin Cancer and Dermatology Institute. Dr. Blackhart received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine in 1986. He completed his internship at UCLA, San Fernando Valley and his Dermatology residency at UCLA Division of Dermatology in Los Angeles. Dr. Blackhart is experienced in all aspects of dermatology. He recommends regular inspections for changes in the skin and sun avoidance to reduce the risk of skin cancers. Dr. Blackhart is married with three wonderful children, Kevin, Steven, and Danielle. During his free time he loves to vacation, golf, and swim with family and friends. Dr. Blackhart is accepting new patients and most major insurance companies.
